Candidate Registration Process

HELP US TO HELP YOU!

ALL CANDIDATES

Your interview at EastSide Personnel will take approximately one hour to an hour and a half depending on the nature of the role that you are interested in and the amount of testing required.

Email us (in advance of your interview if possible) a copy of your most up to date CV. Your consultant will provide you with the appropriate email address or send to mail@espersonnel.com.au

Bring hard copies of any written references you have from previous employers.  We will also require the names and current telephone numbers of at least 2 former employers that we can contact to confirm verbal references.

If you have current (no longer than 6 months old) test results for typing and computer software packages bring them with you as it may not be necessary for us to retest you.

Come in to our office dressed as you would be for any other job interview, we might send you straight from here to meet with a prospective employer!

CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN TEMPORARY WORK

If you on a working holiday visa please bring your passport with you so we can sight your visa.

We also need everyone who is interested in registering for temporary work to bring their tax file number and bank account details to process for payroll purposes. All unused documentation will be destroyed.

AT THE OFFICES OF EASTSIDE PERSONNEL

WELCOME – IT’S EASIER THAN YOU THINK!

Plan to spend an hour to an hour and a half with us, we will make it as pleasant as possible!

You will be asked to complete the appropriate registration card (permanent, temporary or real estate) which includes information about your skills.

You will also be given a copy of our collection statement to read (refer to EASTSIDE PERSONNEL PTY LTD PRIVACY POLICY) and sign for our records.  A copy of the collection statement will be provided to you upon request.

Our very friendly & helpful receptionist will assist you with any necessary testing.  This may include a WorkStyle Questionnaire which takes approximately 10-12 minutes to complete, a typing evaluation (approximately 5 minutes) and software testing on packages such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint (up to 30 minutes per test).  We can provide you with copies of all test results and will discuss these with you during the course of the interview. 

Next comes the interview!  You and your consultant will have a face to face, in depth discussion.  Topics covered will include details about your previous and current work history, information about your choices & preferences in the work environment, your ideas about your areas of strength and those you feel you might need to develop and where you see yourself in the future. 

All these steps give us the best possible chance of helping you find the ideal role.

YOUR PART OF THE DEAL

We may need some time to find the position that’s right for you so we need you to keep in touch on a regular basis.  A regular weekly call to your consultant is the perfect way to be always at the front of our minds!  Keep an eye on our advertising too and let us know if you see something there that interests you.  Don’t forget to pursue every possible avenue in your search for work, newspapers, internet, acquaintances, friends & family.  Let your consultant know immediately if you have found something as she will always be actively looking for you.
